walking and visiting...
The above photos were taken today just before 2 p.m. This it would appear is the latest way to perform 'restoration' to a Grade 2 listed building. In front is a great big pile of rubble which we are told will be stored to complete the work.
This peice of machinery is required because if the big grabber thing pulled the complete chimney down the grabber thing and its operator would be under the chimney debris. No doubt more conservation will be needed to save what's left...
Popped into Michael's Bookshop on the way home and he seemed to think along with the rest of us 'there's been an error by someone at TDC' mmm...

Nice one Mitch finally got round to looking at your blog and putting a link on mine, sorry about the delay.
This is by way of an update on the situation, Thanet District Council have but an order on the building making further demolition illegal they have also instructed the structural engineer that they appointed not to order or sanction any further demolition.
I have published my correspondence with TDC about this matter in the internet, you can click here to read it
I'd sware that they did it on purpose.
makes you wonder doesn't it? See todays (Thurs)blog photos...
